Congratulations to Sydney Sun, our Research Assistant, for receiving the Honorable Mention Award for Best Flash Talk at the Society for Affective Science Conference!
On March 31st, Sydney presented a flash talk on her University Scholar’s independent research project at the Society for Affective Science conference in Long Beach, California. This conference invites researchers from all over the world to network and share their investigations into emotions and affective science, encompassing a breadth of disciplines, methodologies, models, and populations. Sydney’s project used real-world data in a naturalistic setting to explore how the context of conversations modulates relationships between parent and child emotion word production and child disruptive behavior problems, providing insight into developing more target family interventions for children with behavior problems.
