Parenting & Child Development

Parenting is one of the earliest and most powerful contexts in which children learn about themselves and others. We study how everyday interactions between parents and children shape emotional, social, and behavioral development over time. We also study caregiving behaviors that are modifiable and can be targeted through intervention. Our goal is to identify which aspects of caregiving matter most, for whom, and when, so that interventions can better support children and families.
