Lena Mehlem
Visiting Graduate Student
Lena is a visiting doctoral student working under the joint supervision of Prof. Dr. Kerstin Konrad (RWTH Aachen University) and Dr. Rebecca Waller. She holds a master’s degree in teaching and research Logopedics and has a background in developmental and clinical communication sciences. Her research focuses on parent-child interactions, with a particular interest in synchrony patterns in behavior, neural activity, and language. She is curious about how these different forms of synchrony relate to children's language learning and socio-cognitive development. During her stay at the EDEN Lab, she contributes to projects using conversation analysis and computer vision methods to study early interactional processes.
